The film is set on Earth in the future. During the observation of Gliese 581, the existence of a previously unobservable Black Hole is revealed and unmanned probes are sent one after another, until finally a manned probe is sent. What will happen to the crew members on this first opportunity for humans to observe a Black Hole with the naked eye?
